„Demo Destruction“ Hot Wheels 5-Pack is a Gaslands ready Battle Pack

So I got my hands on the Demo Destruction Five-Pack. Normally I don’t pay much attention to multi-packs, because usually they contain 40% to 60% rubbish.

In this case The pack cost me about 8 € which is o.k.-ish for 5 cars. Well… Allright. Three cars actually. But I’ll come to that.

I gave it a closer look, because it had a version of The Enforcer in it. That car hasn’t been in mainline for ages, only available as a part of multi-packs. And I wanted to get my hands on one to test its modding capabilities as a Gaslands Buggy.

I had a good look at the five-pack, and was actually quite happy with what I saw.

Because it’s basically a battle-pack for Gaslands players. Especially beginners or folks who don’t like modding, but still want to have miniatures that fit into the setting.

First and obvious: The Enforcer.

A battle buggy. It comes with armour plating and two guns. Yes, it is a bit on the large side, but it works.

Second: 69 Dodge Coronet Super Bee

Classic American Muscle. And it looks so deliciously battered and beaten in this version.
It's definetly my favourite.

Third: A 90’s Chevrolet Impala police car

Nicely beaten, too. It has the vibes of a salvaged police vehicle or can be a nod to one of our beloved sponsors.

With a bit of dirt and grime, these three will look more than ready for the wastelands. And if you want, stick some guns to the two cars. The buggy already has plenty.

As a bonus you get a nice piece of terrain:

Speed Bump is a crushed, badly dented 1980s Oldsmobile, that came originaly with a Monster Truck. As far as I know it’s the only crushed car currently released outside of a Monster Truck package.

*)

You can remove the wheels, you can remove the base, you can spray paint it in a dirty or rusty colour. And you can stick it to a base.

But you need none oft hat. It‘s sufficiantly damaged, so no one will accidently take it for a competitor‘s car.

The last of the five ist he obligatory blank. I personally have no use for the Heavy Hitcher. A truck with cartoonish features and way out of scale. Maybe you can use the parts. The body is plastic, so is the hitch.

Overall the colours are a bit flashy, especially the wheels. Oh god, the wheels…

But there’s nothing you can’t fix with a bit of paint. I mean, black tyres, black wheels, it’s dead simple.

Apart from that it’s a great pack for beginners, that are unsure about miniature painting and modding, but want to try their first street race.

*) Update: there is a 2023 five-pack, that has two demolished cars inside plus a Cruise Bruiser. That seems like a successor to this pack. Although the new pack lacks something like the Enforcer.
